Reeths-Puffer's young runners show improvement in 5th-place finish at Mona Shores jamboree

Reeths-Puffer senior Jersi Bilek led the Rocket runners Thursday at the Mona Shores jamboree to open O-K Green Conference action, finishing in 24th place individually with a time of 22:39.5.
The R-P teams both finished in fifth place.
Darcy Keefe was R-P's second scorer in the girls' race, finishing 60th with a time of 24:50.6. Also scoring were Kaitlyn Durow (62nd, 24:57.6), Charli Belinger (82nd, 26:50.2) and Sidney Shackelford (103rd, 29:34.2).
Dylan Sturr was R-P's top boys runner, taking 52nd place in a time of 19:37.6. Gabriel Luna and Landon Learn also broke 20 minutes; Luna was 54th in a time of 19:47.4, and Learn took 57th in a time of 19:56.6. It was the first time breaking 20 minutes for both freshmen.
Kyron Novak (73rd, 20:42.6) and Maxim Bellinger (96th, 22:37.0) rounded out Rocket scoring.
