Reeths-Puffer and Whitehall both represented the west side of the state at Monday's East vs. West Showdown at Muskegon Country Club.
The Rockets placed 11th of the 16 teams to compete - eight from each side of the state - and the Vikings finished 14th.
The format of the second annual competition paired a west-side player against an east-side player, with a point awarded for each hole won between each pair. The East took the overall title.
Sophia McCollum enjoyed another strong round for the Rockets, placing sixth overall with an 84. She scored a birdie during her round.
“Sophia had yet another good showing," R-P coach Matt Pallett said. "She has been persevering through some sickness and a sore hand the last few matches.”
Olivia Ambler shot a 97, improving her score from 2024 by 10 strokes. Ella Voorhies shot a 105, and Jaylynn Acre earned a career-best round of 130 to close out the scoring, finishing with a par on her final hole.
For Whitehall, Morgan Garcia was the top scorer, shooting a 94 to finish 22nd overall. Riley Shafer had a 100, followed by Kelsie McClure with a 118 and Avarie Bentz with a 120.
