Reeths-Puffer continued to make progress toward its season goals Monday at its home jamboree, posting a season-best team score of 182 and placing third, up one spot from its previous finishes.
Spearheading the improvement were career jamboree bests for both Olivia Ambler and Ella Voorhies. Ambler shot a 42 and made a birdie during her round, and Voorhies was right bhind her with a 44. Both were top-10 individual performances.
Sophia McCollum, as always, led the Rockets with her usual solid effort. She had a 39, good for sixth place overall, and made a pair of birdies.
"We continue to trend in the right direction,” R-P coach Matt Pallett said. “All of
our season goals are still in reach. We will focus on our weaknesses at
practice to continue to get better."
Keeley Cole and Ava Gibbs tied for the Rockets' fourth scoring position, each shooting a 57.
