Montague earned the Silver bracket championship Saturday at the Lakeview Invitational and had a 3-1-1 record overall.
The
Wildcats (3-12-1) capped the day with a win over Muskegon Catholic,
25-14, 25-19. In pool matches, the team beat Montabella and Mason County
Central, played Lakeview to a 1-1 tie, and fell to Saranac in a close
match, 25-22, 25-21.
Emalee McGee had a huge day offensively
for Montague, recording 26 kills on 48 attacks and also passing out 63
assists. On top of that, she had 10 aces, another team best.
Reagan
Cederquist had 26 kills for Montague, and Annelyse Schneider posted 17
blocks. Gentry Knop led the Wildcat defense with 68 digs and added nine
aces.
