Whitehall track teams cruise past Manistee in WMC Lakes regular-season finale

Whitehall finished off West Michigan Conference Lakes dual season in style Tuesday, scoring dual wins over Manistee.
The Viking boys won by a 108-29 margin, and the girls took a 77-56 win.
The boys' team won all but one event, with Corde Anderson's three individual wins leading the way. Anderson won both the 110 and 300-meter hurdles events with times of 15.52 and 41.97 seconds respectively, setting a personal best in the latter, and he also won the shot put with a mark of 41-10.
Mason Mulnix earned a pair of wins in the sprints, with times of 11.55 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 23.27 seconds in the 200.
Four other Vikings set personal bests in wins: Tyler Van Antwerp in the 400 (53.54), Graysen Olstrom in the pole vault (13-1), Xavier LeBlanc in the 800 (2:10.8) and Jevon Hilliard in the 3,200 (10:46.4). Hilliard's race was his first time competing in that event.
Other Whitehall individual winners were Stewart Waters in the 1,600 (4:47.8), Caden Bowyer in the discus (144-6), Ayden Mendoza in the high jump (6-6) and Kal Koehler in the long jump (20-0).
The Vikings won three relay races. Van Antwerp, Hilliard and Andon Palmer each ran in two of the wins - the 1,600 (3:46.7) and the 3,200 (9:37.0). Waters joined that trio in the 3,200 relay, while Drew Boeringa was part of the 1,600 race. In the 800 relay, Brayen Sorensen, Keegan Frees, Cole Pardue and Judd Musk won in a time of 1:41.5.
In the girls' meet, Cami Kraai led the way for the Vikings with three individual wins and a relay win. Kraai won all three distance events, with times of 2:30.0 in the 800, 5:42.2 in the 1,600 and 15:29.2 in the 3,200. She also helped win the 3,200 relay along with Ella Nicholson, Kassidy Parmley and Adalyn Britton with a time of 12:38.8.
Lexi Poulin set a personal best to win the high jump with a mark of 5-0. Other Whitehall winners were Marley Nienhouse in the 100-meter hurdles (20.17), Samantha Mead in the long jump (12-11), and Britton, who ran the 300 hurdles for the first time and won in a time of 56.26 seconds.
The Vikings won both sprint relays as well. Aryah Lewis ran in both races; she raced with Mead, Izzy Hesse and Paige Johnson in the 800 (2:02.3) and with Emily Smolen, Ryleigh Hershey and Morgan Wade in the 400 (57.89).
