Whitehall finished a solid second place behind Ludington Wednesday in the Coastal Conference tournament at Ludington.
The
Vikings won 10 matches, and two flights took first place. Top doubles
pair Brianna Bentz/Avarie Bentz fought off a tough showing from the
Orioles' Kristi Killips/Ella Micka to take first place with a 6-4, 1-6,
10-8 win. Izzy Gould earned first place at No. 3 singles, winning both
her matches in straight sets.
Singles players Akeelah Martin,
Grace McDowell and Riley Shafer each won a match for the Vikings. In
doubles, Addie Broton/Alivia DeWildt, Delaney Konecny/Ella Sumerix and
Braelee Fogus/Emily VanDam picked up a win apiece.
