Whitehall tennis comes up just a little short against Ludington

Whitehall battled Ludington in a close Coastal Conference matchup Wednesday, but came up a little bit short in a 5-3 defeat.
The Vikings got two of their three wins in the singles matches. Izzy Gould cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles, and Riley Shafer went the distance to earn a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles.
Brianna Bentz/Avarie Bentz picked up Whitehall's only doubles win in another very close match, winning 6-7(6), 6-3, 7-6(0).
Emily VanDam/Braelee Fogus won their first set of a tight matchup against Lydia Kwietniewski/Chloe Barz at No. 3 doubles, but the Oriole pair came back to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-1, giving Ludington the team win.
