Reeths-Puffer finished 14th of 21 teams over the weekend at the two-day Katke Tournament at Ferris State University, with a two-day team score of 718.
The Rockets shot a 360 on day one, led by Kristian Brown's 83. Kye Grant and Ayden Hartzell each had a 92, and Aiden Waggoner shot a 93. Brown and Hartzell each had a birdie during their round.
In day two, conditions worsened as it was rainy and cold, but the Rockets' score improved, to 358. Brown bettered his day-one score by shooting an 82, again making a birdie during his round. Waggoner shot an 88, also including a birdie. Tristan Baker shot a 93 for the Rockets and Hartzell had a 95.
Brown's scores put him in 22nd place individually.
“The team had to battle the elements both days," Rockets' coach Matt Pallett said. "The conditions were not
ideal for golf. Although we did not have our best golf, the team
persevered in the tough conditions.”
