Montague lost a doubleheader to Allendale Tuesday, 14-9 and 16-6, in a final preparation for the coming district tournament.
The
Wildcats (8-19) scored five times in the fifth inning of game one to
briefly tie the score, 9-9, before the Falcons bounced back to win it.
Hayden Boutell had an RBI single in the fifth.
Jocelyn
Rodriguez-Perez hit a home run for Montague in the game, and Reagan
Cederquist's first-inning RBI double opened the scoring. Rodriguez-Perez
and Greta Auch each collected two hits.
Montague got off to
another quick start in the second game, scoring three first-inning runs,
but Allendale grabbed the lead back in the bottom half of the inning
and Montague never led again. Auch, Rodriguez-Perez and Kayden Johnson
each got two hits, and Cederquist drove in two runs.
