Montague lost a doubleheader to Allendale Tuesday, 14-9 and 16-6, in a final preparation for the coming district tournament.
The Wildcats (8-19) scored five times in the fifth inning of game one to briefly tie the score, 9-9, before the Falcons bounced back to win it. Hayden Boutell had an RBI single in the fifth.
Jocelyn Rodriguez-Perez hit a home run for Montague in the game, and Reagan Cederquist's first-inning RBI double opened the scoring. Rodriguez-Perez and Greta Auch each collected two hits.
Montague got off to another quick start in the second game, scoring three first-inning runs, but Allendale grabbed the lead back in the bottom half of the inning and Montague never led again. Auch, Rodriguez-Perez and Kayden Johnson each got two hits, and Cederquist drove in two runs.
