Montague runners hit the track for showcase Distance Night Under the Lights meet

Several Montague distance runners competed in the annual Distance Night Under the Lights event Saturday night at Houseman Field in Grand Rapids.
Each event saw well over 100 athletes competing, and some had even larger numbers.
Junior Noah Raeth had the Wildcats' top finish in the showcase event, taking 39th place in a field of 354 competitors in the 1,600-meter run. Raeth earned a personal best time of 4:31.6. In fact, all six Wildcats to run in that race - Nolan Kessler, Alix Draves, Matthew Leatherman, Adam Knopfler and Carson Jasick also competed - secured personal best times.
Among girls runners, Grace Torsch had Montague's best finish, placing 93rd of 159 runners in the 1,600. She had a time of 6:07.7.
