Errors costly for Montague softball in losses to Ludington

Montague lost a West Michigan Conference Lakes doubleheader to Ludington Tuesday by scores of 8-6 and 21-13.
The Wildcats (5-11, 0-6 West Michigan Conference Lakes) led 4-3 in the third inning of game one before the Orioles jumped ahead in the bottom of the inning. Kayden Johnson and Hayden Boutell each had two hits in the game, including a double by Johnson. Reagan Cederquist allowed two earned runs on nine hits, striking out three.
Errors bedeviled the Wildcats in game two, with eight miscues leading to 10 unearned runs. Montague led 7-5 going into the fifth inning, but the Orioles scored six times to go ahead for good.
Cederquist and Greta Auch each had two hits; Auch doubled and Cederquist tripled. Gentry Knop, Boutell and Cederquist each scored three times.
