Whitehall walloped Orchard View twice Tuesday in a West Michigan Conference Lakes doubleheader by scores of 17-0 and 17-5.
The
Vikings (4-6, 4-0 WMC Lakes) only needed to bat twice to get the
mercy-rule win in game one, scoring 13 times in the second inning. Janie
Fagan and Jersie Peterson each had an RBI double, and Fagan had three
hits in all with five RBI. Megan LeaTrea pitched a three-inning
no-hitter, allowing only a walk and striking out one.
Whitehall
pushed nine runs across over the final two innings of game two to
secure the win. Lianne Fagan had three hits and three RBI, and Bella
Fogus had two hits and two RBI. Beth LeaTrea pitched the game and got
the win, striking out four and allowing four hits.
