Whitehall and Montague both competed in Monday's 15-team Ludington Invitational, with the Vikings finishing in sixth place and the Wildcats in 13th.
Brady Tate had the area's top local score, finishing in ninth place overall with an 86 for Whitehall. Jones McDowell had a 94, scoring a birdie along the way, and Royce Freed and Kellan Mikaelsen each had a 95.
Brayden Bultema shot a 92 to lead the Wildcats, closely followed by Bucky Aney's 93. Aney scored two birdies in his round and Bultema had one. Maxwell Welch had a 109, and Tanner Devries and Jonah Henderson each posted a 110.
