In another very close O-K Green Conference jamboree at Caledonia
Monday, Reeths-Puffer finished fourth out of five teams but only 12
strokes out of first place, shooting a 158 - its best nine-hole score of
the season.
Mona Shores led the way with a 146.
“The
team made some strides in the right direction today," R-P coach Matt
Pallett said. "The guys are not satisfied, which is a good thing. We
just need to continue to have four guys play well on the same night.”
Three
Rockets tied for the team lead, each with a 39 that was good for eighth
place overall: Kristian Brown, Ayden Hartzell and Aiden Waggoner.
Hartzell scored an eagle on a chip-in on the seventh hole of Saskatoon
Golf Course and also had a birdie; Waggoner scored a birdie, too.
"It was great to see Ayden Hartzell have a good day," Pallett said. "He has been
fighting his swing a little bit. Hopefully this will springboard him to a
strong finish to this season."
Kye Grant rounded out the scoring for R-P, shooting a 41, his best score of the year.
