Reeths-Puffer's four-run fourth inning proved decisive Thursday as
the Rockets salvaged the finale of its O-K Green Conference opening
series against Caledonia, 8-4.
A two-run triple by Cade Paugh
was the big blow in the inning, and Quinn Alderink also had a
run-scoring single. RBI singles by Connor McManus and Jayden Wiseman
provided helpful insurance runs in the seventh.
Paugh, McManus
and Wiseman each had two hits in the game, and Brayden Mitchelson
pitched well to get the win, allowing only two earned runs on five hits.
Jack Yonkman fired two shutout innings in relief to earn a save for R-P
(3-2, 1-2 O-K Green).
