Fruitport scored a goal late in each half Friday night to defeat Montague, 2-0, in a closely contested non-conference game.
The Trojans got on the board with just under seven minutes left in the first half, and added the game-clincher at almost the same point in the second half.
Montague (4-6) fought hard on defense but couldn't sustain much attacking against the Trojans, managing two shots on goal to Fruitport's 16.
