Reeths-Puffer and defending Division 2 state champion Byron Center
delivered a high-caliber heavyweight fight Friday night and played to a
3-3 tie.
The Rockets never trailed in the game and nearly had
it won until the Bulldogs scored a goal with 18 seconds to play in
regulation. Neither team scored in overtime.
It was a great night for Rockets' goaltender Huck VanDyke, who faced 41 shots on goal to R-P's 29 and made 38 saves.
Tyler Tindall, Hayden Taylor and Tyler Cuti each scored a goal for the Rockets. Connor Anderson had two assists.
