Reeths-Puffer took a three-game loss to Byron Center Tuesday night in O-K Green Conference play, 25-11, 25-10, 25-15.
The
Bulldogs, said R-P coach Justin Birr, "were always in the right spot
defensively" and made life difficult for the Rockets' offense.
"Our defense played pretty well, but we could not get in a rhythm
offensively," Birr said. "Credit to Byron Center and their coaching staff for having a
very disciplined defense."
Carlee Bowen had nine digs for R-P
(10-20, 1-7 O-K Green), and Madilynn Dyer had 12 assists. Makayla
Disselkoen led the offense with five kills and had an impressive seven
blocks; Birr said Disselkoen is showing significant improvement at her
middle hitter position.
